Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe comes from a mixed-race family from South London in England. The mother of her child is English and her father Nigerian. She was raised on the south London Council Estate, and then attended The Brit School aged 14. The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art is where she earned the BA in acting. While at school she appeared in a variety of stage productions including King Henry V's Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe first began her acting career with Storm Damage. Since then, she's appeared as a guest in Teachers, Doctors, Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's first film appearance was Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), with Colin Farrell. After this success, Madekwe played Elisha on her role on the BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN as well as in six episodes Trexx as well as Flipside. Madekwe played Bambi on The ITV2 show Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was a star in the comedy of 2008 How to Alienate and Lose Friends. Her stage credits are Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams and Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe made her US debut on the Drama series The Beautiful Life, which only aired two episodes on The CW before being cancelled. Ashley Davenport, a character from ABC's Revenge drama, was chosen to play Ashley Davenport. Madekwe was a regular on the drama series of Revenge on ABC in two episodes. In May 2013 that she would quit the show after completing one guest appearance on the first series of the 3rd. The actress portrayed Tituba in the television series Salem between 2014 and 2016. In June 2012, Madekwe got married to her long-time partner actor Iddo Goldberg. Together, they worked in the film Secret Diary of a Call Girl. He also played alongside Madekwe on Salem.
Ashley Leggat, an actress nominated twice for the Gemini Award, comes from the large Hamilton family. Ashley Leggat was born to Roy and Patty and her other siblings, Brett, Todd and Bram as well as Rob. Ashley's brothers were all extremely athletic and played baseball and hockey during the winter as well as in the summer. They grew up playing baseball and arenas. Ashley was not a walker, but she was a dancer. When she was two and a half, she was introduced to Baby Ballet. Ashley was enthralled by dance immediately after that. Ashley was a competitor in tap, jazz and ballet in high divisions. The top soloist at major competitions such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, were all awarded to Ashley.
