Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat

Madekwe comes from a mixed-race family from South London in England. The mother of her child is English and her father Nigerian. She was raised on the south London Council Estate, and then attended The Brit School aged 14. The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art is where she earned the BA in acting. While at school she appeared in a variety of stage productions including King Henry V's Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights.

Ashley Leggat, an actress nominated twice for the Gemini Award, comes from the large Hamilton family. Ashley Leggat was born to Roy and Patty and her other siblings, Brett, Todd and Bram as well as Rob. Ashley's brothers were all extremely athletic and played baseball and hockey during the winter as well as in the summer. They grew up playing baseball and arenas.
