Aunjanue The. Ellis Taylor, American producer and actress. She has a Bachelor's degree in African-American Studies and an MFA from the Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue L. Ellis is an American actress and producer. She is involved in the world of film and on television. Aunjanue L. Ellis began acting in the theatre. In later years, she was a part in television series in independent as well as mainstream films. Her most famous role was Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico, and also appeared on BET's epic drama The Book of Negroes. For both of these roles she was praised by critics and received a variety of awards and nominations, among them the Television Critics Choice Award for the Best Actress. In 1995, she was the first to appear in the role of Ariel on the stage as Ariel in The Tempest. On Broadway she was a part of the cast as a character in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. Coming to her movie career she is most well-known for her performances in films such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. Her part as a character in ABC's drama-police series High Incident earned her praises.
