Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd started her combat sports career at the age of 14. She was a kickboxer, boxer and wrestling prior to making her first appearance in amateur competition at WCFC with Jaimee Nievera. Ladd went on an impressive three-fight winning streak in Ultimate Reno Combat. In all three, she finished her opponent within the first round. After that, she returned to WCFC where she defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen beat Silvia B beghian and Maddy Simmons prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia defeated Aspen and defeated her via unanimous decision to put an end to Ladd's amateur record. Ladd defeated Roma Pawelek on Tuff n Uff, and increased her amateur record to 8-1. Aspen was signed to Invicta FC in 2015 to start her journey as a pro. Invicta eleven saw Aspen dominate Ana Carolina Vidal to score an KO early in the round. Invicta defeated her at bantamweight and was victorious via submission armbar in the 2nd round. Aspen utilized the skills she had learned in wrestling to defeat McGill. She ended her fight via the TKO (3rd round) (elbows and punches). Aspen then fought Jessica Hoy (138.1lb at Invicta FC) as the weight of a "catchweight"(138.1lb), because Ladd was unable to put on weight. Aspen, however, beat Hoy with a TKO. In her last fight for the promotion, she fought Sijara Eubanks in a an unanimous decision in Invicta FC 21. Aspen Ladd's UFC debut came on UFC Fight Night 118 when she faced Lina Lansberg. She was a step ahead of Lina and pounded her with a ground-and-pound in the second round to secure a TKO victory. She maintained her dominance and picked up another victory over Tonya Avinger in UFC 229 with her next bout. Ladd defeated Evinger during the first round. She also received her a night's performance bonus. Invicta FC's Sijara Eubanks was her opponent in the rematch that took place at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was Ladd's debut major fight. Both fighters put up a back-and-forth encounter that ended with Ladd taking a unanimous win and each fighter received their Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie took 16 seconds to stop Ladd and her streak. After a short break, she returned to finish Yana Kunizkaya during the UFC's ESPN 7 third-round fight. As a last-minute replacement for her UFC bout, she fought Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. It was a loss by unanimous decision.
